On Sunday, October 18th, (despite the unseasonable appearance of a few snow flurries in the morning…oh Rochester!), students, families, Spectrum faculty, and guest musicians gathered at the beautiful Towpath Cafe in Fairport, NY for an afternoon of coffee, delicious food, and awesome music for Spectrum’s 2nd Annual Caffeine Cabaret.
“Caffeine Cabaret is our way of not only celebrating our talented students, but also inspiring them to connect with other performers” states Megan Resig, Spectrum director. “It’s a day filled with non-stop music.”
Performances ran from 10:00 – 4:00 and featured a variety of student and professional musicians including Spectrum ensembles “Music After Dark” and “Crossroads” as well as the awesome acoustic stylings of folk guitarist Evan Meulemans and singer/songwriter Ben Sheridan (who also teaches art at Spectrum!).
If you missed out on this year’s event, you can see some highlights in the video recap below:
A huge thank you to all of the performers and volunteers who worked so hard to make this year’s event such a resounding success! We are already looking forward to next year’s Caffeine Cabaret!
